MUSIC
This song is about the silence and cold ignorance of "good neighbours" who hear someone in trouble at night but fail to react. I always react when I hear screams or cries or suspect a child or animal to suffer. I always rather overreact than shut my eyes and ears and I am truly horrified by the fact that quite many people ignore violence or abuse out of convenience.
I recorded the song at Daniel Hill’s studio and he arranged the song with me, thus you can hear the background he has from EBM music. He is also playing guitar for the Electronic Pop act Magenta.
Fallen (Angel)
Angel lies... crying
Angel lies... dying
Turn in silence
Everybody does
Turn in silence
Like everybody else
Hear her screams in the night
But we think she's alright
Hear her pain through the night
But let's hope she's alright
Cause we were lying in bed
And we lay so good
“We didn't hear a thing, no”
Angel lies...
Yes, we heard at night
We heard her fight
But we didn't do a thing
We couldn't do a thing
Cause we were lying in bed
And we lay so good
