March 2010
Things go well with Aghast Manor. Sounds very spooky so far :-) One of my collaborators is Travis Ryan, who is a great fan of the original Aghast. I'm also trying to involve the girl from the dark electronic act The Knife. And of course it would be cool if Jarboe wants to collaborate again.
My spoken words' CD with poems from my book, The Dark Side of Dreaming, is also coming along nicely. You can hear an example of the poem Late here.
Obs.: this is not a finished version, just a pre-taste :-). I really love to just create musical expressions like that, without the great pressure from the record-labels and promoters breathing down your back. It's a nice break. But please keep in mind that "ambient" and "spoken word" is not my new direction, it's just a side-thing for me, an outlet for expressing a different feeling. I am working on the "real" next album as well, of course (as Andréa Nebel). But also here I feel a bit more free since I don't have the pressure of being on a Metal label anymore. So I think with the new album I want to take a more slow atmospheric and acoustic direction, focusing again more on my voice and song melodies.
Just to explain my songs (again, for those who don't know), much is about emotions and human relations, particularly speaking to those that feel lone, sad and misunderstood. I hope to speak to such deep individuals when they feel "the pain of the world"... "You're not alone!". A lot is also about dark thoughts, instincts and hidden natural impulses... oh, and of course, in my world, biological impulses are a good thing (I'm referring to the Lars von Trier film Antichrist, where he represents the natural world as ugly, cruel and evil).
The 1920/30's movie/photo style art is my new visual challenge. I love this blend of British and mystic oriental flair (and the cars back then)! Also for Aghast Manor, which has a kind of Lovecraft-theme atmosphere to it.
Apart from my projects I have also been to some auditions. This is nothing new actually... I don't think many know that I have earned a living in the past doing some modeling, acting and stage-fight performances...
So I'm busy working and things surely go easier now that spring is here. Enjoy the merry season!
January 2010
Do you know the feeling when suddenly many things end, things suddenly don't work out anymore like before, and suddenly you feel really stuck and you know that fate is hinting really strongly at you that the time has come to move on? Starting anew is both scary, yet terribly exciting I find... I love new beginnings, new challenges, new places. 2009 certainly was a year of several endings for me, both artistically and private.
One ending for me is being finally done with Metal labels, because both the label and I feel we don't get anywhere anymore together. One must not forget that the whole music scene has changed. So the last Nebelhexë album was the last one on Candlelight and Metal labels altogether.
So it's time for new ideas and I have plenty of those! So what's new? Well the first thing that is new is that I have revived the dwellings of Aghast, well, a modern version of it of course. The new title will be Aghast Manor. Due to legal reasons I cannot retake the original name and logo of Aghast because it was a joined project. Besides, there is a new Rock band out there called Aghast. Aghast Manor will be dark, ghostly sounds of music and strange voices with images of the ugly sides of human madness, providing perfect soundtracks for dark disturbing films. All thanks to Megan Fox who heard the Aghast song Irrlicht and was totally scared from it, haha, and thus inspired me to rekindle the Aghast idea. I will invite new members to join the project as well, more news will follow.
The other news is that I will continue to make my own personal music albums under my own name, well, Andréa Nebel (without Haugen 'cause it's kinda long), and no longer under the name of Nebelhexë. I just want to continue making music, writings and art as me, Andréa, and also, since I will be working with script ideas and performance for film channels, I would like to use my first and surname.
With it I want to explore new music ideas, but they will still be dark, mellow and personal as the last Nebelhexë releases :-).
I will publish the poem book The Dark Side of Dreaming soon and the book Walking with the Night about the shadow sides. As I mentioned before, I am excited about them.
I also am trying my luck in a very new field: writing comedy sketches for TV... just to show that I am not all gloom, far from it.
So yes I suppose that will keep me busy in the days to come I think.
I hope you had a good start of the year dear fans and friends! Remember to be yourself, think from your heart and don't let any "nay sayers" pull you down... :-)

As you can see, I have gotten my own alternative sub-label at Candlelight, Amber Autumn. So I'm the first one out on Amber Autumn, but hopefully there will be other artists joining this label soon as well...
Leadforce my ass!
Nebelhexë is, again, taking on the Norwegian law of "leadforce". This time she is joined by many other dog owners, who also oppose the horrid idea of having their four-legged friend on a lead all year round, with no chance to run or play with other dogs. Just to come up with such a miserable idea of forcing people to keep their dogs on a short lead at all times is just unacceptable! As she stated: "It's not only a matter of animal abuse, but also a matter of freedom. When I walk my dogs out in nature, and they are off the lead in a normal, responsible and natural manner, I certainly don't want to feel like I am doing something illegal. I advise all dog owners to let their dogs run as they should, they are not doing anything wrong, it's the law that is wrong! Dogs have a right to a good and natural life."
March 2009
Nebelhexe has submitted artwork and photos to the The Method Learned, a collaboration of works of art and music to the dark writings of G. James Wyrick.

November 2008
Nebelhexë's new comic e-book, One Autumn Day..., has just been made available at the Writings's section.
October 2008
Nebelhexë is currently writing a new book. Tentatively titled Walking With the Night, the book talks about understanding the shadowside.
For this project, she is looking for graphic submissions from you artists out there, who might be able to illustrate beautiful images and representations of Death as a personification (if that makes any sense).
Also, the book The Ancient Fires of Midgard won't be available for much longer, although as a short-term alternative, some articles from it will be put into a seperate e-book.
New songs will be made available shortly, but in the meantime, Nebelhexë might also be looking for a new label to release the new album: thus, any interesting offers are, as always, welcome. :-)
One new song/poem is already out on YouTube, called In My Dreams I'm Free. Don't worry, the new album is not a spoken word album at all, but she just thought it would be cool to have one of her poems made into music and to have it on the new album simultaneously (you can check it out here).
Two new photos of Nebelhexë have also been added to the Gallery section.
July 2008
Fifteen new photos of Nebelhexë have been added to the Gallery section, and another new one to the Fashion branch.
June 2008
Nebelhexë has set Dead Waters as the title for her upcoming record. In the meantime, here's what she said about it:
"What can I say about the new songs? Difficult to describe... very own, very dark, very organic, very strange? This time I just wanted to make music for myself, not trying to aim at a certain scene or a certain genre... just something for me. The result is very different from Essensual, for example, where I aimed to try out new more commercial styles and a more open 'pop-like' sound. Nope, I am done with that. So Dead Waters certainly turned out to be more organic, kind of like a mix of dreamy ambient, tribal, and a darker form of country... or something like that... maybe it was the influence of that Texas snake beer we were drinking in the studio (cool stuff!) and the hot weather... :-) Anyway, I am really happy about the new songs and I am eager to put some of them on myspace soon...
The songs of course, as usual, embrace many of my deep and dark thoughts, feelings and recent experiences... (I can be quite eh 'naughty' sometimes... or at least end up in pretty weird situations ;-). The vocals are much more intense too. The lyrics will be up soon and a further update will follow... so keep posted.
April 2008
Nebelhexë will be live on the cheeky That Mina Show, on Friday 11, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., talking about her music, art... and sex (and the lack of it) with norwegian guys: this should get interesting!

Seven new photos of Nebelhexë have been added to the Gallery section.
February 2008
Two new articles have been added to the Writings' section: the poem The Sleeper (available under poems and surreal stories) and the article Tonight on Crime Scene (a translation from Rimfrost magazine - available under the new articles' directory).
An old photo of Nebelhexë from the Aghast days has also been added to the Music section.
September 2007
